Officer Julia Brand moves city and transfers to a new police department, the same one her late father worked for twenty years earlier.

On routine night patrol with her new partner, Mike Stone, they encounter the aftermath of a particularly brutal crime. When the evidence leads her to believe that some of her new colleagues are involved in organized crime, Julia begins her own off-the-books investigation.

But who can Julia trust? Is her new partner and lover Mike involved? Will she uncover the truth about her father's murder? Or will the dirty cops get rid of her like they did him?
